The agency
has one employer to deal with instead of many individual contractors, and no direct payroll or employment liability for the workers we employ.
WECGROUPS is a UK umbrella company. We employ contractors on permanent contracts of employment, process their pay through PAYE, and handle the associated tax, National Insurance, pension and reporting obligations on behalf of the recruitment agencies we work with.
We retain a fixed margin per worker, per pay period. That margin is our only source of income and it is stated in writing before anyone signs anything.
What we do
WECGROUPS acts as the employer of record for temporary and contract workers placed by recruitment agencies. When an agency places a contractor on an assignment, that contractor becomes our employee. We invoice the agency for the assignment, deduct our margin, run PAYE on the balance, and pay the contractor net.

Our services
We employ contractors under an overarching contract of employment and pay them through PAYE. Includes gross-to-net calculation, RTI submission, statutory payments, and holiday pay administration.
A single point of contact for agencies placing contractors. We onboard workers, verify right to work, issue Key Information Documents, and reconcile weekly or monthly against agency timesheets.
For subcontractors within the Construction Industry Scheme, we verify subcontractor status with HMRC, apply the correct deduction rate, issue monthly CIS statements, and file CIS300 returns.
We assess every employee for auto-enrolment, enrol eligible jobholders into our qualifying workplace pension scheme, process contributions, and manage opt-outs and re-enrolment.
Contracts of employment, right to work checks, statutory sick pay, statutory maternity and paternity pay, P45s, P60s, and payroll records retained for the statutory period.
How we make money
One margin
per employee, per pay period — and nothing else
We charge a fixed margin per employee, per pay period, retained from the assignment rate before PAYE is calculated. The amount is stated in writing before anyone signs anything.
We do not charge joining fees, exit fees, timesheet fees, or per-payslip fees. We do not receive commission or rebates from any pension provider, insurer, software vendor, or other third party.
